In Berlin, the first online counselling service for young peotple in care has started. The newly launched online service offers information, exchange and advice for the care of siblings or parents with illnesses or disabilities.

As the healthcare network of Berlin (Gesundheitsstadt Berlin) reports, the city now offers online counselling for caring young people. Via the online service, young people can get professional information, exchange and counselling on nursing and care topics. According to the report, no other community offers comparable services for caring children and young people in Germany.

In addition to the personal online consultation, the portal also wants to inform about general help by answering questions such as: “How can I deal with loneliness? How can I manage to make friends after all?” In addition, the portal has the goal to facilitate the exchange of affected persons. For this purpose, it relies not only on the Internet, but also on group meetings in real life.
